Photo Show

This is the picture i wanted to turn in for the photo-show. This was actually one of my favorite pictures that i ever printed but i never got the chance to actually upload it for anything. What i like about this picture is that it makes me wonder what she was thinking about. Also you can also kind of the see the rule of 3 because the apple is in the front she is in the middle and the tree is in the back.

Maya Angelou Quote

I really enjoyed this particular project. this project allowed me to use some pictures that i had been wanting to use but i hadn't had the opportunity to use. i tried to keep the colors on this picture cool and simple so it could help reflect of the quote. i really enjoyed and had fun being creative with all the different brushes. i am happy with my overall project and look forward to doing more of these types of projects.

When i was making this picture i wasn't really sure with what brushes to use. i however found some winterish looking brushes and i ended up finding some on brusheezy.com. i used them on my picture and i like how it looks.

Ericka Photoshop Brushes

This Project was a continuation of the original photoshop project that we finished the past week before Spring Break. In this project we had to incorporate brushes into our work.
I chose to use splatter type brushes because I really liked how it was presented to me when I first saw it on the brush website.
I chose to make the Brush color orange because I wanted it to match with her scarf. I also chose to use Black splashes because I
wanted to keep the color balanced.

Photoshop Smoothing Face Project

On this project we had to do portraits of a student in our class. I chose to use Ericka for this photo-shoot because I had been looking forward to working with her and had not had the pleasure of working with her. This project was composed of taking a portrait picture and smoothing out the texture of her skin. It was a fairly simple project and I enjoyed doing it. My favorite part of the project was the photoshopping because I had not used it too much. I look forward to doing another project like this in the near future.

Elements and Principles of Design

In this assignment I covered the elements and principles of design. The first thing I did was do some research on both the elements and principles of design to see which one suited me better. I decided to do the elements of design instead because the idea of lines and texture and space caught my attention more. I used a picture of ducks that I took at balboa park to show texture because you can see the contrast of texture between the ducks and the water which I thought looked pretty obvious. I used the the picture of spray paint because it has a lot of color in the picture it shows many different types of colors al in one scattered spot which I liked a lot. For line and space I used a picture that I took at La Jolla beach. I think that this picture shows line because of the light coming through the clouds which I think gives it a sense of divinity. This picture also shows space because of the open area given off by the sky and the ocean.

Heavy Metal! Photoshop Project

Reflecting on my Photoshop project I am very pleased with my work. I can honestly say this was the most fun I have ever had using Photoshop. I think this time it was different and more enjoyable for me because the theme of the project was something that represented me and showed a side of me that I love to express. One thing about me is that I love Heavy Metal music along with Thrash Metal music. The theme I chose for this image shows that side of me. The background consists of numerous bands that I love and grew up listening to, the skull figure I just added because I thought it looks awesome and just adds to the picture. The meaning behind "EST.1983" represents the year that the first Thrash Metal album was released. The album was Metallica's debut album notoriously named "Kill Em' All" which has been a huge influence on me. The watercolor effect I thought was cool too and I will be using it more often alongside with Photoshop as I now have a deeper understanding of it.
